Mentalisation Based Therapy

Mentalisation Based Therapy (MBT) is another therapy which has been developed specifically for the treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder, by Jon Allen, Peter Fonagy and Anthony Bateman.

The purpose of this therapy is to enable the patient to regulate their interpersonal relationships, through the process of mentalisation (interpreting the actions of yourself and others in the context of relationships).
